British Museum
The British Museum is the UK's most popular cultural institution with over six million visitors a year . Since 1995, we have supported a number of its initiatives along with major exhibitions that have been seen and enjoyed by millions of people from all ages. We are also heavily involved in the Museum's educational programme through, among other things, our support of the BP Lecture Theatre.
Neil MacGregor, director of the British Museum: 'BP has supported the British Museum for over ten years and the long-term funding provided by the company is hugely valuable, allowing us to plan our exhibitions well into the future and maximise the associated public programme. We are enormously grateful for BP's loyal and ongoing support'.
BP Lecture Theatre
Created in 2000, the BP Lecture Theatre is the British Museum's first ever dedicated lecture space. With a seating capacity of 320, it provides an environment for lively discussions and debates.
